Eddie Ladoire

The Epi Condorcet [St-Jacques-de-la-Lande]

Eddie Ladoire’s work goes between the acoustic creation, music research and fine arts. Eddie Ladoire turns the everyday-kind-of-noises into music through numerical treatment. Thus he creates a new and intimate atmosphere with abstract and familiar components.

The Epi Condorcet is an institution that promotes a cultural, social and educational development in the city of Saint-Jacques-de-la-Lande. The place is a host for other organizations and acts as a gathering location for the social and cultural life of the city. The Epi proposes a set of activities and fosters the creation of social links. The organization also aims at developing partnerships with major city organizations.

In October 2008 Eddie Ladoire walked across the Epi Condorcet during several days to meet those who work and take part of the social and cultural life of the place on a daily basis. The musical piece, called Condorcet, was released on February 2014 to the Bruit Clair label.

This residency received support from Rennes Métropole and the Epi Condorcet.
